Checking In

Yes we are still alive. Mommy has been slacking in her posting duties. She has a whole hour to herself at night when we go to bed, you think she could update the blog! Let's see, what's been going on? Eila is walking around furniture now, she has definitely found her voice and likes to make a lot of noise. She doesn't have teeth yet, but she loves table food and doesn't mind chewing with her gums. I am getting a little better with Eila, we are learning to co-exist. I know how to count to 12, and I know a few letters and a handful of shapes. Colors are kind of stumping me. I know the names of the colors, but I can't match them yet. As far a manners go, I am better at them. I will say yes mam and thank you as long as Mommy doesn't tell me to! Daddy keeps telling me I am just like her, stubborn. I did learn this new game, when we are in the front yard I like to run fast fast towards the road and see how fast I can make Mommy run. She's pretty quick. Even though this game ends with a whipping, my hair getting pulled, or going inside, I still do it constantly. I don't actually go on the road (Mommy tested me when there were no cars coming). I stop right on the edge of the road! She still doesn't like it.

What was she thinking?

Mommy has gone a little crazy this weekend!

First off, she woke up Saturday morning and thought, "let's take Wes' nuppie (paci) away" so she cut the end of it!!!! Are you kidding me, what did I do? Eila is the one who woke up at 5 am, I slept til 6! She told me it was broken and I told her to FIX IT! (Side note: Daddy is working this weekend so it's just me, Mommy and Eila). I was fine until she wanted me to take a nap....after 40 minutes of crying we went outside, she wasn't going to break! Then at 3 pm we tried the nap thing again, and again I cried, 15 minutes later she cracked, gave me the nuppie (luckily we have 20 nuppies so no big loss with her cutting one!) and I was sleeping 2 minutes later..... Moral of this story, we are not ready to live without the nuppie!

Second crazy thing Mommy woke up and decided to do was to teach me manners. Mainly please and thank you. Mommy has discovered that I am just as hard headed as her!! I told her "more coffee milk" and she kindly fixed it, but wouldn't let me drink it until I said thank you.... 20 minutes later (and a lot of whinning) I gave in and said thank you..... And we were both happy! There were a few other times that I wouldn't say please but she wouldn't crack.... I'll keep working on her!

So the score is
Wes - 1
Mommy - 1

I will keep you updated!

Mommy also ventured out and took us both grocery shopping! We were both angels! We didn't get too much since me and Eila take up most of the cart, but we got what we needed plus a few extra trucks!! That was a win-win!!!

Hopefully next weekend since Daddy will be here, he can talk some sense into her!! Next thing you know she will want me to share and be nice to Eila.... I don't even want to think about it!

Mardi Gras

What's new this week?

We have discovered that Eila likes rice and gravy, potato salad, and spaghetti and meatballs much better than any thing Mommy buys in the jar. (I don't blame her!) She still doesn't have any teeth so we are limited on what we can feed her.

I still really like to lay on top of her when she is crawling or push her away with my head.
It's a work in progress.

This weekend my cousin Bella came in from Atlanta. We played pretty good together, a few disputes over who the "Handy Manny tool set" was for, but no major arguements. It was raining so we didn't get to play outside as much as we would have liked. We did get to go to the Mardi Gras Parade together. It was so much fun. I think we each ran 5 miles around Maw Maw's yard. Eila slept through the whole parade, but she was a trooper the rest of the time. Here are a few pics.

My First Baseball Game

We are a little behind on our posts, but a few weekends ago, Mommy and Daddy took me to my first LSU baseball game. It was AWESOME! I don't really know how the game was, but the playground was awesome! Mommy made the mistake of taking me there after about 30 minutes, and that's where we stayed until we left. She was a trooper! She had a little run in with a 4 year old who kept pushing me and stole my home run ball. She didn't hurt him, but she just took my ball back since he was being a bully. There were some guys tailgating by the playground and I kept staring at their beer. Since I stood there so long admiring them, they threw me a homerun ball they had caught! Mommy was excited.

Whoa! That's a big Tiger

Me and Daddy in the stands

Playing with my homerun ball

Not part of the baseball game, but here is Daddy on Paw Paw Donald's new toy. Nana got new cabinets so Paw Paw needed something to spend money on too!! It's pretty cool, I can't ride it, but I did get to sit on it.

Daddy Dressed Eila!

Daddy was so proud this day! He dressed Eila and put a bow in her hair! He didn't do too bad.
Wait until he has to start making pony tails! (Have you seen him? He doesn't have much experience in the hair department!) Just playing dad, I know when you were 12 you had hair!
