Ree Ree's shower!

Mom managed to get a few pics at Marie's shower yesterday!

Back to School!

I started school on Monday August 10th and Eila started on August 14th! We both have teachers that we LOVE!  I have Mrs Barbier and Eila has my teacher from last year, Mrs. Eryn Short. Eila has been doing great!  She was a little nervous the first day but never shed a tear.  We are slowly getting into our routine.  Eila has dance and gymnastics during the week and i am going next week to sign up for cub scouts.  I'm super pumped about that!   Caleb has moved to a new class.  He had his first "poor"  conduct grade.. Hello terrible two's!!  But he's coming around.  We had one "fair' day since then and the rest have been good or great.  We are hoping it's only a few bad day and not the whole "2" year!  He's also starting to potty train.  Mommy is trying to make up a new person, she's calling it the Potty training fairy.. she thinks that he/she will show up while we are sleeping and potty train Caleb... it's a good thought but keep dreaming woman.. He's not doing too bad, he just thinks it funny to tee tee in the tub instead of on the pot.  Which is why Eila and I have opted to take showers by ourselves now.  The little stinker is starting to sleep better.  He's making it through the night now.. not every night but it's more than not.

Misc

Today is my last day of summer.  I start 1st grade tomorrow and Eila starts Kindergarten Friday.  I have Mrs. Barbier and Eila has Mrs. Short (my teacher last year).  It should be a great year!  Here's a little food for thought, Caleb will start school next year!  Hard to believe!

We all went to the Dr. at the same time!  Luckily no one had shots so it wasn't too chaotic.  But afterwards, Eila had to give blood and get a hearing an vision test.  The blood test was quite dramatic but she didn't cry any more than daddy does...
Her blood test showed that she doesn't seem to be allergic to seafood/shell fish anymore but she is allergic to all nuts, including peanuts.. that's a little bit of a downer.

We had a great summer with lots of friends.  We learned so much in swimming!  Eila had show off day and did awesome, she never hesitated!

We had awards day in the big kid side, I racked up!  I got Swimmer of the year in Little Boys and Camper of the year for Little Boys!  I was so excited.  I loved, loved, loved camp.  Everyday I would ask Mommy and Daddy if I could stay.  Some days they would let me stay and come get me later.  Can't wait for next summer!

Mr. Daniel was an awesome counselor!

Miss Kristen and Miss Alyssa were amazing swim teachers! (oh and I jumped off the diving board for the first time on my last day of camp!)

Last vacation of the summer!

The day we got back from Lake Fausse Point, Me and Eila went to Nana and Paw Paws for another vacation for a whole week.  Mommy and Caleb came meet us Wednesday and we all left Friday.  We went to Toledo Bend.  It was pretty awesome.  There was an awesome play ground, a beach and a lake that we could swim in.  We also fished, fed the geese and rode in the boat.

We wore our selves out every day!

Lake Fausse Point

We went on another adventure with the Amedee clan.  We went "camping" at Lake Fausse Point.  We stayed in a cabin over the water.  Even with 5 kids 6 years and under, it was quite relaxing!  There was a huge porch that had a gate so we were locked in.  We fished off the porch, played in the splash pad, rode bikes, rode in Paw Paw E's boat and so lots and lots of alligators!  Looks like we will be doing it again next year ;)

The first fish we caught (out of 2).  But we were super excited!

Uncle Aaron is pretty manly with this pink Barbie pole!

Our alligator friend that showed up every time we were eating. So we named him "dinner"  Sunday morning Mommy cooked sausage on the griddle and a much bigger alligator showed up and didn't leave until we did.

Boat riding

Lovely morning drinking milk on the porch!

Splash pad to cool down

We collected about 250 white fuzzy caterpillars in this water bottle.  We gave them plenty of leaves to eat.

Before we left we had to set the caterpillars free so that they could turn into beautiful butterflies.  It was a rather big deal.  There were lots of tears. Crazy enough, most of them lived and ran away!
